CARDIFF', plain receiver with flip-open breech and marked with Snider trademarks, (traces of colour), borderline engraved top-tang and bar-action lock, the latter signed 'D. THOMAS', chequered walnut half-stock with iron shotgun heel-plate, the right side of butt with brass inlet oval plaque engraved 'PRESENTED TO C.J.N. GRAY ESQ.
